1. Book early to ensure the best service, particularly during the Winter busy season, or the beginning or the end of the month. We book on a first come, first serve basis.
2. Have both addresses available when booking. It speeds up the process and saves you from having to call back with vital information.
3. Be honest about what you are moving. It's our goal to provide you with a moving experience that is both stress-free and cost efficient. Knowing your exact needs helps us to accomplish this by to assigning the most accurate sized truck and man power for the job, and having the right equipment to move it.
4. Highlight any special items. Fragile pieces, glass, mirrors, artwork, appliances, heirlooms, high-end jewelry etc., should be handled with extra care. Being aware of these things ahead of time helps us to give your precious cargo the proper care it deserves. In addition, let us know about any small tight staircases or crawl spaces that we might encounter prior to our arrival. We are willing to find an alternative route that is best for moving certain items.

5. Pack your boxes to the top! Partial or open boxes have a tendency to crush and tilt breaking your precious cargo.
6. Empty your dressers! Take out all items contained in drawers and pack them separately. We often have to tilt dressers to move them properly which can cause items to fall out, and fragile drawer tracks to break when loaded.
7. Make sure everything that is being moved will fit in the space to which you are moving. Measure where your appliance or large piece of furniture is going. Be wary of tall pieces going into a short space. Be aware that long pieces sometimes won't turn in tight hallways with sharp corners.
8. Dismantling ahead of time saves you money! We are more than happy and specialize in breaking down and assembling furniture, but doing it yourself can save you money.
9. The heavier the item, the smaller the box! Putting heavy items in large boxes with other items greatly increases chance of breakage, box failure, and increases the chance of other boxes being crushed.
10. Clearly label all boxes on top and side. It helps us get the boxes to the proper room so you don’t have to.
11. Pack electronic equipment in the original boxes when possible.
12. A moving company cannot transport hazardous materials such as gasoline, bottled gases, ammunition, explosives, and other flammables by law.
13. Clean out closets, and storage spaces as soon as you decide it’s time to move. Will save you a lot of time and $$ when it is time to pack.
14. Use bubble wrap when packing fragile items such as electronics, thin glass, and fine china.
15. Consign it! If you prefer to move a little lighter, consigning is a great and profitable way to remove under needed items. We deal with many consignment stores in the area and would be more than happy to refer you to some great stores near you.
16. Rent storage units closest to the door if you are renting a storage unit in a large building. The further we have to shuttle your items adds to the overall cost of moving.
